About our books and a free gift offer....

HERE IS WHAT SOME OF OUR READERS HAVE TO SAY ABOUIT vERTICAL sTORIES:

I was giggling and laughing out loud at the antics you guys pulled. Seriously, laughed out loud, all alone. Miss Pompidou is a story that people can relate to on many levels. I loved it!! And oh, what a beautiful story of love and life from days long forgotten, until it's most poignant ending; I truly loved the story of The Molly Chair. I liked Floral Park Cemetery very much. It left a lot to the mind's eye… there was throughout, a sense of foreboding... they were a real workout for my imagination! J Leinweber
All the stories were excellent!! Taste of Life made me fearful of going to sleep myself! Some of them were "dreamy," for want of a better word, but still made me want to read them through to see where they wound up. They didn't wind up where I expected… but the endings were satisfying nonetheless. Home runs!! You keep this stuff up and you'll frighten the entire NYT Best Seller list readership! M. Hennemann
Just finished the stories. They have made me laugh, cry, and a few scared me a little (a lot), but I didn't want them to end. They really pulled me right into them. Poppies, The Ghost Lady, Centipede, The Application… the one about the grandfather! More! R Tomasini
What a joy reading these stories! No two were the same; some left me laughing, others left me gasping! Bravo! What fun! G Drews
I absolutely loved these stories. They were diverse in themes and that really added to the fun of reading them! I especially loved The Molly Chair. it was a beautiful and heartwarming tale of love in its truest form. Love will always find its way home! Thanks for the chance to read these! A Torri
Having known Mitch for years, I've always regarded him as a brilliant genius. He excels at what he does: his insatiable desire to entertain is contagious and his beyond-belief incredible mind contributed to this work of art. Leaves me wanting more, (short stories of course) and longer ones too! S Ross
We couldn't put this book down! The stories kept us engaged from start to finish, as they unfolded and wove to their ending. The interesting plot twists and turns kept us wanting more! These stories, from the fertile and creative mind of Mitch Rapoport, drew us in as the scenes unfolded in our imagination. The stories ran the gamut of our emotions, but also made us thoughtful. We are ready for our "second helping"! More! More! Two thumbs up! N & P Jette

ABOUT CORPORATE SOUL

aUTHOR Jaffer Ali is the CEO of one of the largest privately-held publishing and media companies on the Internet. His personal experiences with the principles of Corporate Soul have led to this success.Modern business too frequently focuses on the bottom line and ignores the consequences its actions have on the business as an entity. Business can and should be a sacred enterprise. This book seeks to guide the reader on a journey to letting Soul permeate one's business. Each chapter is an exercise in discovery, and you will be treated to some of the greatest thinkers in philosophy, physics, ecology and psychology. The collection of essays illustrates that developing Soul is about finding the interconnection of seemingly disparate pieces of information.Corporate Soul focuses on often-overlooked topics in the business community, such as passion, intuition and responsibility. The "Responsibility and Soul" chapter notes that businesses today have a tendency to forget their ethical responsibilities, ignoring that decisions made today will affect the ecological, social and economic climates of tomorrow. In a bonus chapter, Ali includes highlights from "The Secret of Victory" by George S. Patton Jr. interspersed with commentary.

"I finished the book wanting more stories from this author. Nice job.  I had a similar affair when I was 14 and really saw myself in the story Kiril."

Arnie Benton,  Washington

"Lot of fun. It was a quick read and over too soon. I could have used a few more stories, but I'm glad I bought it. I give it four stars."

L. Hansen -  NYC

"If  I am assuming correctly that Grandpa Nathan was a real person, then I've got to say, if I had two kids like that I'd have locked them up for life. This was a good book and I'm sharing it with a friend."

Bee Davis, New Jersey

5.0 out of 5 starsI’m going to read it again!

December 1, 2018

I’ve found it takes a great deal of talent to write short stories that hold your attention and keep you coming back for more. Vertical Stories for Horizontal People is one of those books. The stories range from funny to thought-provoking. Super quick reading and I found myself saying “Just one more”... and before I knew it, I had read the entire book in one evening. I enjoyed it very much!

I had a great time reading the variety of stories in this fun book! Overall, I was delighted with it and will recommend it to my relatives and friends. Also, with the holidays quickly approaching, I will, surely, be purchasing additional copies to give as gifts.

 Amazon Review
Now that I have completed “Vertical Stiries For Horizontal People” I wanted to check back in and give you a complete review. My last comments, I had just completed the 3rd story, just the beginning of what I thoroughly enjoyed through the rest of this book. These little stories were not related in any way. Their style as different as their content. They also touched a part of me, perhaps touch all of us, a part of us that we all share, feelings and experiences we have in common as children that stay with us throughout our lives. “Miss Pompidou”; a wonderful story sharing the guilt we all carry deep within us from childhood. “Floral Park Cemetary” remain a mystery. “Ghost Lady of Lake Worth”: scary! “Bellicose Bravado”; words I never knew existed reveal deep insights for the reader. “The Velvet Widow”, “Taste Of Life” and “Poppies Of Trelane”, I don’t want to go on and on but Mitch Rapoport really nails these character studies in a way that hits home. “Centipede”; flawless! You’ll understand more when you read it. “TV Syndrome”; this one will hit home. Brainwashed? Hmm. I loved it! “Kiril” I can’t dare share about this one. And finally, “The Molly Chair” Nice! Thank you Mitch Rapoport for your capacity and ability to write stories that resonate within us and strike an inner chord that is our own. Please, keep writing and sharing. George Conyers Graham
